Kids Night Vision Goggles: Will My Kids Really See In The Dark?
I will not beat around the bush, night vision goggles more than likely will cost you a pretty penny. They are used in branches of the government, security companies and regular people like you and me. But now companies are starting to release Kids Night Vision Goggles.
Now, from what I can find out about the Kids Night Vision Goggles is that they are really made pretty well. Now, granted they are meant for kids but they do perform just as they are suppose too. They totally allow your kids to see with the absence of light. Compared to a person without these goggles who can't see things in the dark I would say that they work great!
So, if you're wondering how Kids Night Vision Goggles work It's actually pretty easy to understand really. You see, because the human eye just can't see the infrared light that does not mean nothing can see it because most cameras can pick it up. So, night vision goggles usually are made up of a camera that's connected to a viewfinder that would have an infrared spotlight. That would cover the area in front of them and allow them to see that way.
The mechanics of the unit are made with two eyepieces. One of them will have LED's all over it but the other will not. Keep in mind the lights infrared spotlight in a matter of speaking which is going to allow you to have sight in total darkness.
Kids Night Vision Goggles on a technical level function when infrared light is being projected. The levels of actual brightness are twofold. One, has the LED's from the eyepiece and the other from the brightness from the LED's on the base itself.
What I find quite interesting though and hopefully you will agree is that when your looking through the eyepieces you may be able to see a slight glow of red showing up - keep that in mind.
I had mentioned the eyeball can't see any infrared light unless you have a pair of Kids Night Vision Goggles, right? Well, if you did have a pair of them and saw the glowing red light then this will tell you that you are seeing infrared light! You are then seeing the same thing as a digital camera would pick up - so you are kinda like a robot!
If you have a child that has to wear glasses and you are wondering if they can use Kids Night Vision Goggles you have nothing to worry about. I would say all of the units I have seen are totally glasses friendly.
Robert Stormony recently put together a site for his brother that's dedicated to Bushnell Night Vision Goggles and Night Vision Goggles Work. You will see the most complete information and lowest prices that will get you what you need right now.
